1. The service
DMCA Sentinel provides software tools that help copyright owners and their authorized agents organize infringement information, prepare takedown notices under 17 U.S.C. § 512, deliver them to platforms and hosting providers, and track enforcement activity from a single dashboard.
DMCA Sentinel is a software tool, not a law firm. We do not provide legal advice, and no attorney-client relationship is created by using the service. For legal advice about your specific situation, consult a qualified attorney.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use the service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering and keep it up to date.
3. Your representations
By submitting a takedown case, you represent and warrant that:
- You are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
- The information you provide is accurate and submitted in good faith.
- You have a good-faith belief that the reported use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- The statements in any notice generated through the service are accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
Misrepresenting infringement in a DMCA notice may create legal liability under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), including liability for damages, costs, and attorneys' fees.
4. Payments, subscriptions, and refunds
Prices and included features are shown before checkout. Single-document purchases unlock the specific case purchased. Subscription plans unlock document generation for the duration of the active subscription and renew automatically until cancelled.
Access to paid documents or services may be limited, suspended, or revoked following a refund, chargeback, reversal, misuse, or breach of these terms. Subscriptions remain active until the end of the paid period after cancellation. Refund requests are handled through the support channel in your dashboard.
5. License expiry
Where a license has a defined term, your ability to generate and send new notices ends when the license expires. Previously purchased and unlocked documents remain accessible in your account. We may send reminder emails before a license expires.
6. No guaranteed outcome
Platforms, hosts, and other recipients make their own decisions about the notices they receive. DMCA Sentinel does not guarantee removal of any content, response times, reinstatement decisions, search engine delisting, or any particular legal outcome. Delivery confirmation means the notice was sent to the recipient channel; it does not mean the recipient has acted on it.
7. Acceptable use
- Do not submit false, misleading, abusive, or fraudulent claims.
- Do not use the service to target content you know is lawfully used or licensed.
- Do not interfere with the security or operation of the service, or attempt to access another user's account or data.
- Do not use the service to violate another party's rights or any applicable law.
- Do not resell or redistribute the service without our written consent.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, without refund where the violation is material.
8. Intellectual property
The service, including its design, software, and branding, is owned by DMCA Sentinel and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain all rights to the content and evidence you submit. You grant us a limited license to process that content solely to provide the services you request.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DMCA Sentinel is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced through the service or by email. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
11. Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent through the support channel in your account dashboard or via the support page on this site.
